All along the Oregon coast there are spectacular bridges that architecturally are all magnificent, this one is no different.
Designed by Conde McCullough, the master bridge builder of the Oregon Department of Transportation of that time. He designed 11 bridges on Oregon's section of the coastal highway. He used art deco and modern designs with some hints of gothic architecture. Construction started on August 1, 1934 and opened on Sep. 6, 1936. It was built at a cost of $1.3 million. Total length: 993.9m (3,261ft)
