Pine Creek Falls, Atlin, BC

Pine Creek flows out of Lake Surprise, then travels 12 miles to Atlin Lake near the town of Atlin. This creek is partially what prompted the start of Atlin as there is a gold bearing section of 2 miles on it.
It was discovered in 1898 and by 1899, 3000 prospectors stood on its banks looking for their fortune. There was evidence that this creek had been prospected earlier, but it has never been discovered by who or when.
